Reach Your Marketing Goal with These 10 Hacks

Sometimes business owners or sales professionals are unhappy at work because they just can’t see their way to do the marketing work they need to do to build their practice/business.  The question becomes how I can do some marketing every day and also attend to clients/customers and/or do the work necessary to keep my clients/customers happy.  One solution is to work on the big tasks for an hour or two and then take a break and do a small marketing task.  Here are some hacks that will only take 5 or 10 minutes

  1. Call a former client to renew your relationship.  Have something interesting to tell the client about trends in your industry or a program you are doing. Mention that you welcome referrals.
  2. Connect with someone you met at a meeting recently on LinkedIn and/or send them a handwritten note or an email.
  3. Call or email that potential referral source that you met recently to set up a meeting.
  4. Call the program chairperson of an organization where you would like to make a presentation to discuss a speaking engagement.
  5. Create an outline for an article you want to write or a presentation you want to give.
  6. Call a prospect to find out if he/she is ready to become a client.
  7. Send an article with a note to a client or prospect on a topic you know he/she is interested in.
  8. Order a thank you gift on the web or by phone to be sent to someone who just referred a client/customer to you.
  9. Put an article you have written on LinkedIn.
  10. Register for your next networking event
