Summer Color Comes to an End
I just pulled up my garden and removed the flowers from my window boxes and front porch . The weather forecasters predicted a frost and I didn’t want to have the plants freeze. This year I had a great crop of tomatoes, green beans, basil and tarragon. The flowers I planted were just beautiful! You can see a picture of the impatiens and sweet potato vine on my front porch. I wanted to keep the image of vibrancy without seeing the plants wither so I pulled them all out. Last winter with all that snow what I missed most was the color. Everything then was a dreary dirty white and gray color. This winter when my eyes long for color I will look at this picture! What do you do when you know something you love is coming to an end? How do you deal with it?
